This was a really enjoyable and quick read. It was a lot of fun to revisit my favourite characters from Ile-Rien and Cineth again. I think that the stories give some great backstory to their characters and expand the already rich world that they exist in.
The narration for the audio book was very smooth and easy to listen too.

Story
It has a dark past - one in which a number of humans were killed. A past that caused it to christen itself "Murderbot." But it has only vague memories of the massacre that spawned that title, and it wants to know more. Teaming up with a Research Transport vessel named ART (you don't want to know what the "A" stands for), Murderbot heads to the mining facility where it went rogue.

The Audible narration was FABTASTIC!!! This narrator is perfect for Murderbot!
November 2020:
Wow, these books have unexpectedly worked their way into my heart. This is my second time reading Artificial Condition. It was my favourite novella on the first read through, and it looks like it will easially hold that title. It just amazes me the complexity of the characters emotions and how subtly they are conveyed to the reader. The story is compelling and it flows well. I feel like I got to know murderbot better in this book. It was my partner's first time reading this book and it was fun to experience it for the first time again through him.

Story
There are few characters in literature more iconic than J. M. Barrie's Peter Pan, the Boy Who Wouldn't Grow Up. Originally introduced in 1902 in another Barrie novel (The Little White Bird), Peter's story was expanded as a standalone novel in 1911 and since then has been memorably adapted for the movies, for television, and for stage.
Now, actress Lily Collins (The Blind Side, The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones) brings new, youthful energy to Peter's magical adventures.

This was beautifully narrated.
Disney's Peter Pan 2 was my favourite movie as a child. I had heard that the book was a lot darker than the movies... but I didn't realise it was THAT much darker! This book was... unsettling. But I feel that it is a must for everyone who loved Peter so as a child. I am Wendy now, grown up and seeing Peter again in a very different light, but still charmed.

Story
Year 2471. A new discovery. Those three words thrill my parents - the galaxy's leading archaeologists - but for me, it means another time jump to a different planet. One so big, my friends will be older than my dad when we arrive. And I'll still be 17. Thanks, Einstein. I really can't blame Einstein, though. No one expected to find life-sized terracotta warriors buried on other planets. So off we go to investigate, traveling through space and time. With my social life in ruins, I fill my days illegally worming into the quantum net - the invention that allows us to travel in space.

Okay, I couldn't put this book down! I LOVED the idea of terracotta warriors in space. Archaeology and super quantum computers?! My two favourite things! I've always enjoyed Maria V. Snyder's writing style, it flows and it's simple and I think that's beautiful.

Wow! I remember back to when I started the first book and I wasn't sure if I liked moon or not. I can't believe I ever thought that! Now I'm so attached now to Moon, Jade and Stone as well as Chime, Balm and Flower. I feel a part of their world. Their friendships, dialogue, wants and struggles feel tangible and real. The audible narration is 10/10.
My poor baby Moon has to go through a lot in this book. We get to see heaps of interaction between him and Stone, which is always funny and so so subtly sweet.
Moon struggles with the idea of settling into life in the Indigo Cloud court and the conflict between his identity and new role as a Consort. He thinks of himself a lot as a 'feral solitary', but when he meets an actual 'feral solitary' he has to re-evaluate himself. Moon's character development over this book feels to me like it's a consequence of the experiences he has, which makes it feel hard won and natural. I think Moon struggles with PTSD and is slowly learning how to trust.
Also! How awesome are the girls in this?!

Six days ago, astronaut Mark Watney became one of the first people to walk on Mars. Now, he's sure he'll be the first person to die there. After a dust storm nearly kills him and forces his crew to evacuate while thinking him dead, Mark finds himself stranded and completely alone with no way to even signal Earth that he’s alive - and even if he could get word out, his supplies would be gone long before a rescue could arrive. But Mark isn't ready to give up yet.

A fun 'how to survive on Mars' instruction manual
Reviewed: 26-09-2020
The entire plot was: 'oh no, Mark is on Mars, how do we get Mark?' which was fun to read about how they get Mark, but it felt a little lacking in other areas. For example, the wasn't much about why they want to get Mark, other than: 'Mark is our friend!' And Marks entire character development while being stuck on Mars can be summed up as: 'Yay Potatoes! Boo Potatoes!'
I think I expected too much from this book in terms of moral dilemmas and psychological thrills. But if you put that aside, it was a fun, easy read with lots of interesting MacGyver scenes. I listened to the audio book, Will Wheaton was perfect, he gave a 5 star performance.

fantastic audio book quality and performance.
Push through book two so that you can read this book!! It's thrilling, and fun and the characters are likeable, it's everything that book two wasn't. The ending is a bit disappointing but it's mostly satisfying. Four stars because I had a lot of fun reading this book and shed a tear at the end. I thought that I would remember this series bitterly after book two, but I will remember it fondly.... now onto more grishaverse adventures!
