Like so many authors just beginning, they think the essence of excellence lies in a convoluted plot; it doesn't; it lies in the quality of the characters. if you don't warm to a character, you don't care what happens to them, and therefore you won't like a book. I warmed to none of these characters. Antiheroes a very alienating, I think more authors need to come to grips with that reality. it seemed to take Michael Connelly about 15 years to come to realise that the secret is in the story, that is a simple story well told. Using a characters that you don't necessarily warm to; but who are redeemable in your eyes. This author, though close, needs to learn that simple rule.

Entirely boring and unresolved drivel, that just wanders around the same point continuously and inconclusively. Totally unfulfilling and utter waste of money. Simply a poor choice of subject attempting to cash in on the true crime market.
