Homicide detective Adam Kimble is no stranger to battling demons. But Meredith Fallon is a different kind of weakness: one that could actually be good for him, if only he would let himself depend on her. Meredith has loved Adam for a year, and seeing how hard he's worked to deal with his PTSD makes her feelings only stronger, but she respects his needs. Her work keeps her busy anyway: she counsels sexually abused women like Mallory Martin to help them reintegrate into the world.

I have become a big fan of Karen Rose and this book confirmed it. This story has many twists and surprises all built over what is a very depressing situation . For me the characters become real and I often rewind so I can hear it again.

I found the storyline to be complicated and believable, the human emotion is powerful and I found myself relating to it often. It is always nice to end on a positive and happy note.

I told my self that after book 3 I would revert to another author for at least one book but when the time came I opted for book 4 and very glad that I did. The recommendation can't come any higher than that.

If you want a good listen with powerful characters then this book, in fact the entire series, is for you. Do yourself a favour and have a listen. Enjoy!

When admiration becomes obsession, will it turn to murder? I'm Watching You is a brilliant thriller from best-selling Karen Rose, and part of her Chicago series. Kristen Mayhew, the Chicago Public Defender's office star prosecutor, is no stranger to success. With success comes danger, though, and it's only a matter of time before she herself becomes a victim. A secret admirer is following Kristen's every move. He kills the criminals she herself is powerless to stop, then sends her letters.

The story is good and certainly something that many of us would consider seriously. Who could imagine the trouble that would follow a decision that we may all be tempted to make particularly when experiencing extremely hard times.

The storyline shows the best and worst of peoples personalities and that sometimes we are all inclined to bend the rules.

This was my first Karen Rose book and it was such a good listen that I purchased another one immediately.

What a great listen! The storyline was good, albeit a bit gruesome, and the characters were real and believable.

I found my emotions kicked in few times given the gravity of some of the events happening or had happened.

I found it difficult to turn this one off, just wanted to keep listening.

Karen Rose writes great books and I have just loaded another for what I expect will be another great listen.

This is a great story portraying all his focus, capability and drive. Evan's emotions alluded to over the last few books are maturing almost beyond his control. This does not dampen his resolve to complete the mission commenced, revenge, which in itself is an emotion.

This is a book I did not want to turn off and found myself sitting in the carpark stealing a few extra listening moments rather than heading into the Office. I was so disappointed to reach the end but noted the potential for another edition with 2 Orphans working together again. Perhaps she will need to save Evan?

There is no doubt Evan is clever, determined and lethal. Evan is also now displaying emotion. His internal struggle highlights his training, loyalty and committment. I hope there is another book very soon.
