Story
The latest groundbreaking tome from Tim Ferriss, the number-one New York Times best-selling author of The 4-Hour Workweek. For the last two years, I've interviewed more than 200 world-class performers for my podcast, The Tim Ferriss Show. The guests range from super celebs (Jamie Foxx, Arnold Schwarzenegger, etc.) and athletes (icons of powerlifting, gymnastics, surfing, etc.) to legendary Special Operations commanders and black-market biochemists. For most of my guests, it’s the first time they’ve agreed to a two-to-three-hour interview.

Mixed Feelings
Reviewed: 08-08-2020
This book is divided into 3 sections and I would like to review each section individually. Section 1 focuses on health. I found this section to be very biased in relation to the diet side of health. Consistently pushed a ketogenic diet, but little to no info on other diets (despite very successful athletes and doctors who recommended other kinds of diets such as Mediterranean, Whole Food Plant Based, Paleo, etc.). The entire health section contained very little that an average person would have the time or money to achieve in my opinion. There are a few little gems here and there, but overall I was disappointed with this section. Reviews on sections 2 & 3 to come.

Why we think it’s a great listen: An all-time Audible favorite that mixes historic fiction, adventure, and romance with one of the most fascinating literary devices: time travel. Outlander introduces an exhilarating world of heroism and breathtaking thrills as one woman is torn between past and present, passion and love. In 1945, former combat nurse Claire Randall returns from World War II and joins her husband for a second honeymoon. But their blissful reunion is shattered....

Brilliantly written and voiced!

"Written with sheer elegance. Not a sentence left unfulfilled. One of the most compelling fictions I have delved into. While the book starts slow and has horrifying moments, I was so gripped by the astonishing details that I was not speculating why certain events were happening; I was too busy living in the fictional moment that she had created. The details are so vivid. In my opinion, books shouldn't just be great stories. They should be filled with intelligence and literary attributes. This book had very many great words, well researched plots, and outstanding characters."
I wasn't sure if I would enjoy this book, as I had already seen the Outlander series on Netflix. Knowing what was going to happen took nothing away from this incredibly written story.
The performance by the reader was absolutely exceptional. Easily my favourite performance of any audiobook I have ever listened to. Switching flawlessly between accents and voices, I would have thought there were multiple people reading this book!

Story
Intrigue, danger and desire merge in this lush novel of loyalty and time travel. In 1945, Claire Randall, a former combat nurse, is back from the war and reunited with her husband on a second honeymoon. Their blissful reunion is shattered when she touches a boulder in one of the ancient stone ruins and is instantly transported to a Scotland torn by war and raiding border clans - in 1743.

Story
Of course I want to be like them. They're beautiful as blades forged in some divine fire. They will live forever. And Cardan is even more beautiful than the rest. I hate him more than all the others. I hate him so much that sometimes when I look at him, I can hardly breathe. One terrible morning, Jude and her sisters see their parents murdered in front of them. The terrifying assassin abducts all three girls to the world of Faerie, where Jude is installed in the royal court but mocked and tormented by the Faerie royalty for being mortal.
