Honeybee is a beautiful story, at times heart wrenching but full of interesting and complex characters. I laughed and cried on Sam’s journey, gaining fresh insight into the challenges he and teens like him face. Thank you Craig Silvey, I couldn’t put it down...and I’ll be processing it for a while to come.

Loved it!

I really loved this book and found it hard to put down! The historical elements were fascinating, painting rich perspectives of women who fought to be allowed to play an active role in the WWII liberation of France. The accompanying family saga plus some high fashion combine in an intricately woven story line that is completely gripping.

A richly rewarding read...

Far from being the saccharine, this novel advocates “finding joy in the struggle” in a rich and rewarding way. I can’t wait to check out some more works by this author! Katherine Centre’s optimism is totally refreshing.

The beginning of a promising series, with deftly-drawn characters (yes the children can be annoying, but they’re like that!) Great plot, good narrator, I can’t wait to find out what happens next!

Universal themes tackled with humour and grace. The Sparkle Pages treads lightly but with such insight that I was left satisfied and yet changed by Susanna’s journey. Make no mistake, this comedy isn’t just fluff. It’s packed with reality, depth and joy in just the right balance. I look forward to more from this author.
