The problem with prequels is that there is little mystery. There is no suspense or intrigue in this book because the TV show already told us the ending. This book also erases the last 10+ years of TNG books, I am surprised any self respecting author would write over their own and the colleagues work.

What a waste of an audible credit.

Barely a story compared to the other books and certainly not worth the price of a credit

Great story idea and underlying premise. However the characters are very basic and underdeveloped. As a result, the relationships between the characters are a bit dull and predictable.

This is the laziest thing a writer can do. Tell the exact stale story from another persons perspective then charge there readers for it. Just skip this book, it is rubbish.

This was a good story in its own right. But the attempt to link discovery to cannon was pretty weak. The narrator conveyed little emotion and was a bit bland.

The primary story was good. Not the back story was a bit dull because you already knew the outcome.
