This book is so very beautifully written I feel transported every time I listen or read it. I can feel the breeze, the fragrance of perfumes and imagine the courtyards. it is like being in a painting while listening to poetry flowing like a cool spring. It is amazing.

Known as Monsanto's Roundup by consumers, and as glyphosate by scientists, the world's most popular weed killer is used everywhere from backyard gardens to golf courses to millions of acres of farmland. For decades it's been touted as safe enough to drink, but a growing body of evidence indicates just the opposite, with research tying the chemical to cancers and a host of other health threats. In Whitewash, veteran journalist Carey Gillam uncovers one of the most controversial stories in the history of food and agriculture, exposing new evidence of corporate influence.

Wow. It is hard to believe that so much collusion between industry and the people who are supposed to be protecting us and generations to come is possible. I sincerely thank the author for her work and efforts in exposing the corruption and political interference that hides in the shadows.

I really enjoyed this book. I don't normally write reviews but I really felt compelled to in this instance. The book was like I had met and been embraced by a new group of friends. I was able to grow with them on a journey through several years of their lives. It was happy and embracing and left me feeling like I was privileged to have been able to share in their experiences.

I tried to listen to this a few times but each time I gave up half way through. The book is self indulgent, delusionary dribble. I honestly question the rational mind of the author. If you are weak willed and need a person with a god complex to tell you how to live your life then this may be the book for you. For me I regret the money and time I have wasted.
