The author has a genuine voice and offers sound practical advice that I have been able to put to good use.

The narration is good, but I found it jumped around a bit and the more I researched each of his points I realized how much he glossed over or negative sides he didn't cover etc... This is fine as space is limited, but it just seems more sweeping and generalized than most books in this field.

I'm not one for YA fiction but I found this well developed and complex. Beautiful world building and fresh magic system. The narrator does a decent job of it and I never got distracted by the voice.

Accused of making stuff up.

A number of alarm bells while listening to this. Decided to read reviews and found a lot of stuff is made up. Wouldn't waste the effort.

Definitely worth it. Well written. A little cliche. But what isn't? Everyone seemed a bit too beautiful, though perhaps this is the nature of the story, and there were more plot questions raised than answered. Not normally one for fantasy I did like the depth that was added to this one with the "scientific" approach to magic.

This was instantly accessible and of high production quality. I've read the book before so was already familiar with it, but I enjoyed listening to it again in audio book format.
