I love this author and I love the Irish accents done by Aoife (the American one needs a bit of practice). A complex story that unfolds slowly with the final pieces not falling into place until the very end. It was a little slow in the beginning, and there are some truly unlikable characters but a really satisfying ending.

I didn't pick the end!

Loved it. Enjoy the characters, great plot with a twist in the tale. Absolutely love the performance. I could listen to Aoife forever, she's one of the reasons, apart from the light 'who done it', that I listen to this series.

Really enjoyed this book. A who dunnit in the context of a truly terrible time in Irish Catholic history. A very easy listen, could be picked up and put down easily. The performance was fantastic with different inflections used for different characters. If murder mystery is your thing, I thoroughly recommend.

A tragic but inspiring story

I loved everything about this book, but what a story of tragedy and injustice. What Sandra lived through and survived is inspirational. Funny an time, so sad at others that it left me crying. To survive and be relatively whole is quite a feat. Listening to the book was like listening to poetry. The book was beautifully written and psychologically insightful. Also fabulously performed with depth of feeling and compassion.

You'll never guess who done it!

I really enjoyed listening to this, thought I had it figured, but no,very clever . Great use of different voices and some truly unpleasant characters. The only thing that I loathed was the 'tweets'. Skipped over them in the end

loved this book. It really evoked the outback, you can just imagine the desperation of a town without water and the parched landscape. The book had an unexpected ending
