If you've read the other Corina Chapmen books and enjoyed them, then you'll love this latest installment. These books are relaxing, fun, and easy to read. Good characters and another puzzling mystery to leisurely follow. This series is great bedtime or holiday reading, or in a year like 2020 when you just want a nice break from the weight of the world.

Another enjoyable escape into the world of Corrina Chapman. What makes this one especially crazy is that some of the events were inspired by a true story in history.

Cannot fault this series at all. If you love a good mystery with humour, a lighter touch and fabulous characters, then definitely check this series out. You can jump in to the series in any book and whilst you won't have 100% of the character development history you'll enjoy the story and follow along easily. Easy, fun escapism.

I wish this book was longer. It's a great collection of folk tales from one of my favourite universes. Even if you're not a Harry Potter fan this book is still fun. Not really advisable for very young readers though, as some of the characters do meet graphic ends...

I want you start by saying this is a good book. I think if you're trying hard enough you could work it out, but the story is designed in such a way that it is not meant to be possible for the reader to work out. It deliberately misleads and confuses the reader. Having said that if you enjoy a mystery, and a roller coaster ride where you don't have to think and instead just enjoy the ride, then you will enjoy this book. It is well written, well performed and the characters are strong. Not my cup of tea - hence the score - but a good book none the less. Give it a go.

These books just keep getting better. You can jump straight into book two without having read book one easily. No two mysteries are the same, the character development is fantastic and the humour is always present.

It had it all. Mystery, thrills, crime, sex, adventure, kink, humour and baking! If you buy or borrow a hard copy of the actual book you also get recipes, but the convenience of an audio book does make up for their absence. I enjoyed the reader as well, her deep rich tonnes lend themselves to a lot of the characters.

I enjoyed the performance and the first chapter was good, though it's also the first chapter that the crime itself happens and is solved... The story line was very hard to follow beyond this, as the timeline constantly jumps through time and between characters in a non-coherent manner. The individuals that are the subject matter of this book are also so horrific, without a single redeeming feature, that you just don't want to keep hearing about them. I don't usually give up on books, but this is one that I will never finish or pick back up.

Love it!

This is a fun and really interesting series. I love museums and learning how things work and were developed so this series is perfect. Coupled with Bill Brysons soft tones and delightful accent it is a real pleasure to listen to.
