Maybe it is just me, but I found the voices difficult. All too similar and a shame another reader did not participate in the male roles. The story was bizarre really and the characters irritating. Too much was made of the neighbours. Perhaps I would have enjoyed reading the actual book more, where I could shape the voices in my own head.

Compared to the previous 2 books, the writing and plot were poor. The voice for Bloomquest was not consistent. Shame as I enjoyed the previous 2 books.

I was irritated by the story in this the 3rd book in the series. It was like there was a new writer. I was dross every time I was reminded about the facts from previous book. It was too often. Endless talk in this book about Deva’s chest and physical attributes. I listened to all 3 books, one after the other. Sadly this was disappointing. Voice and I performance good.

I very much enjoyed the story. I couldn't stop listening and loved the voice of the reader.
It was an interesting subject and lead me to research more on the traditions and myths.

I liked the location of the story, but disappointed in the mood of the story, depressed tones, lacked real emotion.

Thought it a little far fetched and limited good characters. Laurence did not see real to me.

I probably would not read another Louise Brealey book.

I was a little disappointed after such an exciting beginning and then low and behold, a romance. All turned mushy and predictable. I loved the geography and information regarding the pirates.
Not sure I will seek out this author again.

Really enjoyed the twists and turns of this well written and performed story. Clever and unpredictable plot. Harry never disappoints. Loved the voice and drama that Sean Barrett gives to the text.

I should have read the review properly. I did not realise it was actually separate lectures. I wanted it to flow and have more classical content instead of archeology history.

I did not finish or get very far into it.

I do not want to rate it poorly just because it was not what I wanted.

Very good story, interesting and well written.
I did find the voice irritating. Being a delicate young gFrench girl, I thought it would have been improved by having a female voice or even a male and female voice.
