Acuff knows the reason why many writers' novels go unfinished - it's the same reason why gyms are filled in the first week of January and empty by the end of the month and why people stop learning a new language once they get past the easy parts. It's not just that people lose momentum or get distracted. People give up on projects when they fail to live up to their own high expectations and decide that if they can't do something perfectly, they won't do it at all. If you're going to finish, you have to kill perfectionism.

Loved this audiobook. Some great strategies and practical tactics help you get things done and avoid the paralysis of perfectionism. Author has some funny lines but I feel like he maybe tries a little too hard to be funny too often as I found myself drifting off during some of the stories. Awesome listen all round though! :)

Public speaking can be terrifying. For David Nihill, the idea of standing in front of an audience was scarier than cliff jumping into a thorny pit of spiders and mothers-in-law. Without a parachute or advanced weaponry. Something had to change.

In what doesn't sound like the best plan ever, David decided to overcome his fears by pretending to be a comedian called "Irish Dave" for one full year, crashing as many comedy clubs, festivals, and shows as possible.

Andrew defines 'The Me Myth' as the limiting belief that the world revolves around me. In short chapters he gives advice on how to shift the focus away from me and start living a better life through simple actions like mastering empathy, giving generously, inspiring people and having fun. The message is simple, but profound.

Andrew’s warts and all life story is solid proof that whatever has happened in your past does not matter. It is what lies ahead that is important and I think The Me Myth is a great reminder that are are responsible for everything that shows up in our lives and we can DO and HAVE whatever we want as long as we just focus on how we are BEing and who we are serving.

The audiobook hits your eardrums in a clear, digestible and entertaining fashion.

AG’s stories are raw and his views are always extremely interesting to think about.

I can’t think of a single human alive who wouldn’t eat value out of this book.

Take a bow Mr Griffiths :)

Had a hairdresser with a six-month waiting list? There are people who don't chase clients; clients chase them. In a world of endless choices, why does this happen? Why do people queue up? Why do they pay more? Why will they book months in advance? Why are these people and products in such high demand?

YES you have a polarising style, though I feel like ANYBODY can grow / benefit by allowing themselves to really hear what you're about and listen to you share your opinions & perspectives for just 1 minute (let alone 11 hours!).
I feel like we share many common traits so listening to your stuff helps me feel like I'm definitely on the right track and inspired to just DO ME instead of conforming to other people's standards.
Loved it man, THANK YOU again.
