I enjoyed this book. Nice easy listen and a satisfying story. Quite a few LOL moments. Always finish a romance book wishing there was a bit more detail in the feelings of the two people.

Story
Settling down for a 24-hour flight to Australia, Lucy finds a text message on her phone - not from her boyfriend James, as she fondly hopes, but from a woman claiming to have slept with him four times in the past month. Trapped on the plane, she questions everything about her relationship with James. She finally calls him and he reassures her: it was only his mates playing a silly joke.

I really wanted to listen to this book but I’ll have to read it in print. Being an Australian I couldn’t stand the fake Aussie accent. I know it’s a hard accent to master but it just made me cringe and I couldn’t get through the story.

Story
An achingly funny story from the author of the best-selling You Had Me at Hello. When Edie is caught in a compromising position at her colleagues' wedding, all the blame falls on her - turns out that personal popularity in the office is not that different from your school days. Shamed online and ostracised by everyone she knows, Edie's forced to take an extended sabbatical - ghostwriting an autobiography for hot new acting talent, Elliot Owen. Easy, right? Wrong.

I enjoyed listening to this book, the background with the family was told well and I could relate. Quite a few ha ha moments. While I was hoping the two main characters would get together there was something lacking, not many lead up moments that had you gripped. The ending was also a let down. Some people like open endings but I feel so incomplete especially after committing so many hours to the story... The narration was mostly good except that there was no voice difference between the two main characters so couldn’t tell who was who in some parts.

This book could have been so good! Argh! I was so intrigued by the story and couldn’t stop listening but felt so let down in the end. The story line had so much promise but the end just fizzled. I felt we really needed to hear more about the male character’s feelings, emotions etc. I kept thinking it was coming especially because the prologue was told from his point of view but then we never hear from him again. Even in his dialogue with the other characters you never really get to hear his side and where his true feelings were.. This is the second Paige toon book I’ve listened to and both left me feeling a bit underwhelmed. Great lead up and suck you in but then left incomplete. The female narrator of this story was fantastic. Really loved her voice and felt the emotion of the characters. The male Narrator, while only a short role was completely wrong. A middle aged man narrating for an 18yr old boy.
