A captivating dramatisation

This is a great dramatisation of the Bronte collection. While I felt that Jayne Eyre could have had a little more depth, overall I loved the production. I thought Wuthering Heights, and the Tennant of Wildfell Hall were outstanding in the way they captured Heathcliffe's brutality, and the Huntingdon's controlling nature. Highly recommended.

Story
The Greek myths are amongst the greatest stories ever told, passed down through millennia and inspiring writers and artists as varied as Shakespeare, Michelangelo, James Joyce and Walt Disney. They are embedded deeply in the traditions, tales and cultural DNA of the West. You'll fall in love with Zeus, marvel at the birth of Athena, wince at Cronus and Gaia's revenge on Ouranos, weep with King Midas and hunt with the beautiful and ferocious Artemis.

Over too soon

Stephen Fry's story telling ignited my imagination and brought the Greek myths to life in a way that has made them stay with me. I loved his interpretation of the stories, the historical references, the way he linked the stories to Shakespearean characters and more contemporary works, and the explanation on the etymology of many words we use to this day. My biggest disappointment was that it was over all too soon - luckily I was able to dive straight into Heroes.
