This book was full of truth, transparency, accountability, and self responsibility. Half a century of life experience, transforming his farm, from rock pile, to lush pasture, traditionally mentored, well read, articulate, simultaneously caring, while calling out utter abhorrent mentality and naivity of certian thinking. This book is for everyone that is even remotely interested in what they eat, &/or, how (their) food is grown, harvested, processed, distributed, consumed. awaken to the labeling lies and legalities that government agencies allow big business to get away with- protecting big $$$, over a persons right to know what they are consuming, all the while, trampling over, and sendng extinct, every small enterprise, and even our individual right to buy or sell, a quiche, soup, or fresh milk, hand milked, to your parent, child, friend or neighbour! Do yourself a favour, and listen to this audiobook!

Story
We live in a time of unprecedented upheaval, when technology and so-called progress have made us richer but more uncertain than ever before. We have questions about the future, society, work, happiness, family and money, and yet no political party of the right or left is providing us with answers. So, too, does the time seem to be coming to an end when we looked to economists to help us define the qualities necessary to create a successful society. We need a new movement.

At times, overwhelmingly sickening, but so eloquently descriptive, ever drawing me in until the very end. I look at my own children differently now, thinking of all those tiny, sweet faces sent to their unnecessary deaths by a sick, sad ideology of truly messed up men. A must listen. lest we forget.

Excellent balance of stats & storytelling

Although dry and brain-power-intense at times; huge numbers of statistics in small spaces of time, it was an excellent balance of factual information and case studies, narrated wonderfully. highly recommend as an introduction to accumulating wealth, but I really would appreciate an up to date version to reflect current realities.

Story
Dark Emu argues for a reconsideration of the 'hunter-gatherer' tag for pre-colonial Aboriginal Australians and attempts to rebut the colonial myths that have worked to justify dispossession. Accomplished author Bruce Pascoe provides compelling evidence from the diaries of early explorers that suggests that systems of food production and land management have been understated in modern retellings of Aboriginal history, and that a new look at Australia's past is required.

I was really drawn into this book. I was shocked, amazed, brought to feelings of despair and horror of white history; but equally in awe and intrigued by the amazing insight into aboriginal agriculture and care of the Australian lands. Thank you for your contribution to Australian history and literature. I will be sharing this book far and wide! lastly; Thank you to the original custodians of this land, for the clever and loving care of it, for so many thousands of years. I hope we as a nation can acknowledge the whole history of this nation, and move forward with many of the advances in land care that the Aboriginal people practiced prior to European invasion. may we have a prosperous future, if only we stop measuring success by means of concur, and so-called economic growth (destruction and degradation of our lands finite resources).

Eating is an indispensable human activity. As a result, whether we realize it or not, the drive to obtain food has been a major catalyst across all of history, from prehistoric times to the present. Epicure Jean-Anthelme Brillat-Savarin said it best: "Gastronomy governs the whole life of man."

The great city of Troy is under siege as Greek heroes Achilles and Agamemnon wage bloody war over a stolen woman. In the Greek camp, another woman is watching and waiting: Briseis. She was a queen of this land until Achilles sacked her city and murdered her husband and sons. Now she is Achilles' concubine: a prize of battle. Briseis is just one among thousands of women backstage in this war - the slaves and prostitutes, the nurses, the women who lay out the dead - all of them voiceless in history.

Story
Leadership is not about titles, status and power over people. Leaders are people who hold themselves accountable for recognising the potential in people and ideas and developing that potential. This is an audiobook for everyone who is ready to choose courage over comfort, make a difference and lead. When we dare to lead, we don't pretend to have the right answers; we stay curious and ask the right questions. We don't see power as finite and hoard it; we know that power becomes infinite when we share it and work to align authority and accountability.

lots of relatable and usable info. I've already started sharing the concepts with colleagues, and recommending the book title to everyone that will listen. I'm looking forward to listening again, to fill in some gaps and get a greater grasp and understanding. I've also bought the hard copy book, and I'm glad to know that extra resources are available online, to help implement the strategies defined within.

Story
Dr. Ross Greene, a distinguished clinician and pioneer in the treatment of kids with social, emotional, and behavioral challenges, has worked with thousands of explosive children, and he has good news: these kids aren't attentionseeking, manipulative, or unmotivated, and their parents aren't passive, permissive disciplinarians. Rather, explosive kids are lacking some crucial skills in the domains of flexibility/adaptability, frustration tolerance, and problem solving, and they require a different approach.
