This reader clearly reads without having an understanding of the content in many components of this wonderful book. Consequently his monotone and lack of anything particularly expressive whatsoever requires/necessitates far more concentration Van is/should be necessary.

I have listened to many audiobooks, and very few audiobook readers have come even close to Michael York’s reading of “a brave new world“. This guy is extraordinarily talented – his accents – from Scottish to Welsh to English to other parts of England I don’t even know… So well read. The book of course speaks for itself – an absolute classic – and ridiculously poignant in 2018 given overly simplistic biological conceptualisations of mental health; PC culture attempts at controlling our language; liberty; suffering and why it is so... This book and its reading is as good as it gets. Enjoy.
