Story
This is the whole story, right from the beginning: the sun-bleached streets, the grimy bars on the Sunset Strip, knowing Daisy’s moment was coming. Relive the euphoria of success and experience the terror that nothing will ever be as good again. Take the uppers so you can keep on believing, take the downers so you can sleep, eventually. Wonder who you are without the drugs or the music or the fans or the family that prop you up. Make decisions that will forever feel tough. Find beauty where you least expect it.

Incredible Performance!

A novel as a radio play

The multiple voice actors and the interview format made this an incredible audio experience and I struggle to imagine how a print version could come close to competing. I would recommend this as an audiobook above any other platform. The story is not crazy, somewhat predictable, especially if you know your rock history (specifically the making of Rumours by Fleetwood Mac) but the point isn't the plot but the people, the interactions and the complexity of human relationships. Jenkins Reid paints a tapestry of passionate humanity and I am better for the experience.

Story
Award-winning journalist Dolly Alderton survived her 20s (just about) and in Everything I Know About Love, she gives an unflinching account of the bad dates and squalid flat-shares, the heartaches and humiliations and most importantly, the unbreakable female friendships that helped her to hold it all together. Glittering with wit, heart and humour, this is an audiobook to press into the hands of every woman who has ever been there or is about to find themselves taking that first step towards the rest of their lives.

Brilliantly read and effectively conveyed. I window in to a life which I feel very lucky to have been given the chance to look through.
