Story
On a summer's day in 1596, a young girl in Stratford-upon-Avon takes to her bed with a fever. Her twin brother, Hamnet, searches everywhere for help. Why is nobody at home? Their mother, Agnes, is over a mile away, in the garden where she grows medicinal herbs. Their father is working in London. Neither parent knows that one of the children will not survive the week.

Story
Not many have lived as many lives as Archie Roach - stolen child, seeker, teenage alcoholic, lover, father, musical and lyrical genius, and leader - but it took him almost a lifetime to find out who he really was. Roach was only two years old when he was forcibly removed from his family. Brought up by a series of foster parents until his early teens, his world imploded when he received a letter that spoke of a life he had no memory of.

When you love someone, how does it feel? And when you desire someone, how is it different? In Mating in Captivity, Esther Perel looks at the story of sex in committed couples. Modern romance promises it all - a lifetime of togetherness, intimacy and erotic desire. In reality, it's hard to want what you already have. Our quest for secure love conflicts with our pursuit of passion. And often, the very thing that got us to into our relationships - lust - is the one thing that goes missing from them.

This book is filled with gems. It will unsettle your assumptions, and your patterns in relation to eroticism and sex in the context of a relationship. It will add something positive, but it will do so gently. whatever it adds will be completely of your choosing

This wasn't what I was expecting, but I enjoyed listening while I was running. It became a treat that I looked forward to; each run I would listen to another chapter.
refreshing to have a Writer write about running. I have read things that Runners write about running, but it doesnt compare. Murakami has a beautiful way with words.
The narrator was just right for this story!
It wasn't life changing, but it was really 'nice'!

Story
The art of love is never a science.: Meet Don Tillman, a brilliant yet socially inept professor of genetics, who’s decided it’s time he found a wife. In the orderly, evidence-based manner with which Don approaches all things, he designs The Wife Project to find his perfect partner: a 16-page, scientifically valid survey to filter out the drinkers, the smokers, the late arrivers. Yet, Rosie Jarman possesses all these qualities and. Don easily disqualifies her as a suitable candidate (even if she is "quite intelligent for a barmaid").

This is the first fiction book I have listened to. I put it on half way through a 12 hour drive. It wasn't quite finished when I arrived my destination - I was disappointed that it was time to stop driving! Very easy to listen to the narrator. Lovely story. And we all know someone a bit like the lead character Don. A nice and gentle insight into the thoughts and feelings of someone with Aspergers
