I've long been a fan of survival stories and I must say that this one takes the cake! I thought Joe Simpson's book Touching The Void was the pinnacle of survival stories but even this one comes in second best to Shackleton's voyage.

This whole book is impactful from beginning to end with no meaningless meandering whatsoever. I highly recommend.

Glad to see he wrote his story

After being an admirer of Jim Mattis for many years now I was happy to find he decided to write a book and share his hard earned wisdom with the world. I'm sure you're aware of his approach to reading history and applying it the modern warfare, you won't be disappointed in the story he has to tell here.

I decided to buy the audio book after watching Guy's TED talk and I must say that I'm not at all disappointed!! He brings great depth and understanding to the subject with a clear and relatable style.
The whole book is full of substance and at no point did I feel like it dragged on meaninglessly. it helped me get through my separation far better than I was prior to hearing this.

Thanks very much Guy

Mind expanding!!
