Fantastic pacing, good dialogue, timely humour and engaging conflict. Recommended for those who like some realism in their sci-fi

As always the humour and fun action is almost constant. I found myself cackling regularly, especially for Owen. Christopher Ragland’s narration is some of the best around. Really nails accents and tone. Perfect.

After being spoiled with the narration of Rupert Degas for Kingkiller, Michael Page for Gentleman Bastard, and the super Steven Pacey for First Law, I feel disappointed with Boehmer’s peformance and lacklustre intonation. The story is the fun, action packed, stealthy fun-times you already expect from this series.

A great level cerebral engagement and fun, thoughtful action. This has become one of my favourite sci fi stories

So many questions and suspicions are answered. I feel this is a much darker book, and that the Lasciel arc was just a warm up for a much darker, deeper and more complex book, and that being Cold Days.

This book had so many answers and great fight scenes.

The reading by James Masters has definitely improved over time as he has honed his craft and become more familiar with Jim Butcher's characters.
