As with Jane Harper’s two earlier books this is superbly written Australian psychological thriller. It keeps you wondering all the way to the end. Even the most insignificant character in the story place some important part of the story. The most extraordinary character with this and her books, the Australian landscape is as much an integral part of the story as all the rest. I can’t wait for this still newish author to publish her next book. Highly recommended, must read. I can’t finish this without also praising the narrator, Steve Shanahan. He breaths life into everyone of the characters in the book. I’ll also be looking out for other audiobooks narrated by Steve.

This is tale of two men who have been seriously damaged by other people. When they first meet and fall in love, their love became mutually destructive. There is a HEA of course but the pain that they both need to go through is a definite tear jerker.
