I love this story. Lots of action, and great story. It has it all. Love, action, adventure, sorrow. For a novella, it was well rounded. For a first novel the writing was excellent and l look forward to reading and listening to more novels from Errin Krystal. The Narrator did a good job too bringing the story to life.

Story
I have stolen princesses back from sleeping barrow kings. I burned down the town of Trebon. I have spent the night with Felurian and left with both my sanity and my life. I was expelled from the University at a younger age than most people are allowed in. I tread paths by moonlight that others fear to speak of during day. I have talked to Gods, loved women, and written songs that make the minstrels weep. My name is Kvothe. You may have heard of me.

Loved this book. I found it was a clever way of telling a story and getting away with it. The story does go off in different directions quite often but I enjoyed it. I just thought it ended a bit abruptly but I guess my questions will be answered in the next book. There were some beautiful descriptions in this novel and the writing cannot be faulted.

Another superbly written novel by David Gemmell. Great story, well-rounded characters, and great narration. There are a lot of battles in this book if you like books with lots of action and there are also brilliant characters who it feels like will leap from the pages. It has touching moments, moments of humor and some romance. I hated to see the Regante series finish.

I loved this book and the storytelling was superb. Adjoa Andoh is a very talented performer. This novel did not disappoint, It was set hundreds of years after book one and two of the Rigante books and I could not see how it would be as good, now I think it is one of my favorites. This book made me laugh and cry.

They called him Bane the Bastard - though none said it to his face. Born of treachery, his name a curse, he grew up among the warriors of the Rigante. They valued his skills in war, but they feared the violence in his heart. And when, as a Wolfshead and Outlaw, he left Rigante lands, they breathed sighs of relief. But Bane would return, the destiny of the Rigante in his hands, the fate of the world resting on his skills with a blade.

The final story of Waylander, available in audio for the first time. Thousands of years ago, the city of Kuan Hador - a place steeped in evil - was defeated by a vast army of mystic warriors, the enemy banished beyond the gateway between worlds. Now, in the Duchy of Kydor, 2,000 miles from the lands of the Drenai, icy mists begin to form around the ruins of Kuan Hador. Awesome beasts stalk the hills and forests. The spells are fading, the days of blood drawing nearer.

Reviewed: 30-03-2020
What can I say about Waylander? He leaps from the page. Along with Druss, he is a hero of legend. The characters are well rounded and the story has you urging them on on this heroic journey. I cannot do justice to this review as I find it hard to write reviews. All I can say is David Gemmell, in my opinion, is the greatest heroic fantasy novelist next to Tolkien. The performance by Sean Barret was exceptional as usual.

Druss, Captain of the Axe: the stories of his life were told everywhere. Instead of the wealth and fame he could have claimed, he had chosen a mountain lair, high in the lonely country bordering on the clouds. There the grizzled old warrior kept company with snow leopards and awaited his old enemy, death.

Legend is one of David Gemmell's greatest titles. It is an epic High Fantasy tale of action, adventure and even has a touch of romance. The characters are conflicted, lovable, well rounded and leap from the page. A great story by a master storyteller. It is a story that will stay with you even after you finish the book. I even shed a few tears. The performance by Sean Barrett is exceptional as it is with all of David Gemmell's Dreni series that he reads.
