The narrator does a great job bringing this story to life.
BOOK REVIEWS
Once again another heart-warming read from Ms Arend. I don’t read very many contemporary books, but Ms Arend is one I definitely love to read.
A wonderfully entertaining story with likeable characters and the supporting cast from previous books we have come to love.
Great to get Kelli and Luke’s story. These two have been gravitating around each other since book one even though Luke was engaged in that book. But Kelli knew he was who she wanted and had thought it would never be.
Luke really takes a long time to understand his feelings towards Kelli. To give Luke his due he really had not twigged Kelli was the one for him, a case of wearing blinders, but once circumstances force these two into close proximity Luke realises what it was he was missing with his ex-fiancée.
Really hope Josiah gets his story soon.
This is my honest review of this book.

Enjoyable and fun to listen to.

Once again Tatiana, the narrator, makes listening an enjoyable experience and enhances these great stories.
Makes doing chores around the house flash past and relaxing a pleasure.
BOOK REVIEW
Ms Arend always writes stories with characters you feel you know or wish you knew.
They abound with humour, grittiness, reality and some sadness, just like real life.
In this latest instalment we get some old favourites mixed in with some new characters.
Lisa has planned and is just about ready to leave Heart Falls. Tamara and Caleb’s baby will be here soon and then she can head off to fulfil her bucket list. Unfortunately there is unfinished business with Josiah who has not accepted her advances for some fun.
Josiah is tired of being the best friend of all his ex’s and wants to settle down with his special woman, he believes that woman could be Lisa but she just wants a fun time and he won’t go that route.
There is also a great plot about a puppy mill and the poor animals involved with that, a new animal shelter to be funded, all wrapped around Josiah trying to prove to Lisa that staying is not as bad as she thinks it will be.
The smooth build up to romance with these two was sweet.
Loved the twist with the new addition, Julia and how that plays out. George seems to be getting a heart.
Great that Caleb made it back in time when Tamara went into labour.
The dogs steal the show but Ollie was super special.
And I cannot wait to read the story about Karen and Finn. That looks to be a doozy.
This is my honest review of this book.

My least favourite book in this series.
Really believe Ryan deserves better in a mate.
Glory’s emotional cowardice is even more annoying in audible.
Poor Ryan has been in limbo with getting close to Glory for nearly a year now, all due to Glory being a stubborn, stupid idiot, she really causes a lot of problems.
Once again the author uses the exact same idea as in book two of Halle Pumas. She has the heroine getting presents, from someone whom she believes is her would be mate. Glory never says thank you for the gifts and flowers, even though they have been coming for weeks. So we get the usual problem happening when it is finally discussed.
At least this time it is a stalker rather than a crazy jealous woman.
Though not as full of the background problems as book two, we do get more happening in another direction which is all intertwined.
So it is extremely annoying that this series has been left hanging for so long with no additional books to finish/explain the riddle. Two becomes One, One becomes Three, Wolf knows the way but Fox holds the key.
BOOK REVIEW
I was not sure that Glory could be saved as I disliked her at the end of the last book.
After reading her story I can understand what she believed and why it caused her actions but she needed to grow up and didn’t need to be so mean to Ryan.
Unfortunately, Ryan did the one thing guaranteed to hurt Glory but he works damn hard to apologise and absolve his behaviour.
Ryans leaving was understandable as he did not know Glory’s past at that time, if he had known he would never have left her side.
This series is really getting intense and we are no nearer to finding out what is going on and why the senate is involved.
Whilst I am enjoying the direction this series is going I miss the humour and energy the Halle Puma books had. They made me laugh out loud and feel good when I had finished them.
What is the mystery that must be unravelled to save all shifters? Answers are needed to keep my interest, not more questions with every book.

Really good listening to these

Really good listening to these but it brings home how much this series is left open ended due to not being added to. Mainly in regards to the riddle/prophesy that is a big part of this series. BOOK REVIEW 3.5 stars just because Glory brings it down big time even though it is Cyn and Julians story. Love superbear and how he goes out of his way to help everyone no matter how dangerous to himself. Whilst I like Cyn her dithering hot and cold bothered me. She knows about shifters and how they are absolutely loyal to their true mate but still gives Julian attitude. Also Cyn and Julian were going along slowly and suddenly mates. The ending is so abrupt. Little things just add up to big problems. Glory acts like super bitch to Ryan. WHY? I am not sure anything Ms bell writes will exonerate her behaviour. A bit disappointing after such a great first book but I did like being back in Halle though and there are so many stories needing to be told. Jamie who has lost his mate, poor Chloe, whose human mate doesn’t want her and Heather whose shifter mate won’t claim her.

Enjoyable but frustrating.

The narrator does a great job with all the various characters. Loved listening to this series in audible but very frustrating too. Halle Pumas was light hearted and amusing, Halle Shifters has gone in a much darker direction and unfortunately seems to have been forgotten. Having read both Halle series, Puma and Shifters quite a few times, it is upsetting that this author has not continued this series. I know the author has health problems but it has been five years since the last book, which left us with more huge questions than answers and I find this fact frustrating, especially as this author has added to some of her other series and started new ones, which I find are nowhere near as interesting. BOOK REVIEW Oh wow, these boys and girls are going to be fun. Yah, we now have bear shifters in the Halle/Poconos Pack world. What a great addition this book is and we are going off with a new bunch of great characters including Julian, Oh my superbear, WOW. All of these wonderful new female and male characters we are meeting intertwining with our much loved Alpha Max and Curana (Little General) Emma. Bunny aka Alexander and his family are moving in. Tabby aka Tabitha, is so strong and courageous you just can’t help but fall in love with her. Cynthia and Gloria are also amazing, tattoos, coloured hair, attitude and all. I just love these women, strong capable and loyal to each other. This book adds so much to this world of Ms Bells, still has the humour and feistiness I love but is a bit grittier with a slightly darker theme. I really hated Chloe getting hurt. We are continuing on from where Steel Beauty, Halle Puma 4 finished. Lots going on and whilst you can read this and enjoy it you will get so much more having read Halle Puma first. You do not need to have read Poconos Pack.

Really enjoyed this book in audible.

BOOK REVIEW A RANCHER’S HEART How nice to get a spin off new series from the Rocky Mountain series. This is book one in what looks to be another successful series by Ms Arend. It was wonderful to see what happens to Tamara and how she finds her perfect family when she becomes the nanny to Caleb’s two lovely little girls. Tamara was going to make a fresh start but I am so glad she stayed her smart mouth self. Great story that warms as it enfolds you in a feeling of family. I love how it wasn’t rushed and these two really don’t come together until 70% into the book but the journey is so worthwhile. This can easily be read as a standalone but is more enjoyable if you have read the previous books.

Very enjoyable narration.

BOOK REVIEW. Wonderful story with such likeable and real characters you wish you knew them in real life. I have been a fan of this author for years and love her paranormal world. Ms Arend is one of the very few authors whose contemporary books I read and enjoy. What a lovely sweet read about second chances with the Stone and Coleman family dynamics thrown in for good measure. Ivy and Walker were childhood sweethearts but Walker made a huge sacrifice and pushed Ivy to follow her dreams. These two never forgot or stopped wanting the other. Ivy knows what she wants her life to be going forward now she is back in Heart Falls after qualifying as a teacher. Ivy knows she wants a chance with Walker, a grown-up chance at a future that nearly never happened due to her health problems. Walker has been on the rodeo circuit but is having problems, he is unfortunately fighting some guilt and demons which he believes he is going to have to sort out on his own. Not in this family he won’t. Whilst they let him work it out on his own they are fully supporting him every step of the way. Love the hint of something between Luke and Kelli and the teaser at the end for the next book. Also have Brad and Hanna to look forward too and something is going on with Ginny in Italy. Lots of background action and interaction as is usual from this author to give you a well-rounded and interesting read. Once again this author has written a story that makes me laugh and cry and leaves me feeling content and feeling like I have enjoyed myself.

Thoroughly enjoyable as an audible book. BOOK REVIEW Once again Ms Smith has me reading a story in one sitting. I have owned this book since its release date but have not had the peaceful time I wanted to enjoy it uninterrupted until now due to a new grandchild. Her writing talent and ability to interweave her worlds together without getting lost astounds me. What a great finish to this series but happily not the intertwined worlds of this author. FBI agent Asahi is the last human to tell his tale and at the same time, we get an ending to the alien horror that has caused so much damage to the Kingdom of the Seven Isles. We get all the main characters participating in the final battle, after a few heart stopping side trips that had me going, no, surely that is not true. The background to all that has happened, which encompassed more than one world by Ms Smith, was intriguing and so well woven together, I felt like all the books involved flowed as one story in my mind. Such a wonderful ending to a series that started as a short set of quick stories, that was written for her readers whilst she was travelling.

Narrator does a good job and I enjoyed listening to this book but it suddenly ended. Not used to such short audible books BOOK REVIEW Way too short and a new spin off series. You really, really, cannot enjoy or totally understand this without knowing the immortal ops series. Too short and really not enough story or romance between Casey and Harmony. Though both have been in previous books, this is supposed to be their story and it is lacking. Casey acknowledges Harmony is his mate after she has been taken. Loved having Gus and Bill participate and the ending was fun. I can understand wanting a soak in a bath after being held prisoner for a week, but surely a shower to get the worst of the grunge off would be better. I cringe at the thought of sitting in the dirt of that bath water. Read this book years ago and rereading in the I-Ops Universe reading order.

I believe I enjoyed these more in audible than whe

BOOK REVIEWS 1 - CROC’S RETURN 3.5 stars. Start of a new series but shades of F.U.C series. This book just did not hit the high points of Eve’s usual style, hence the 3.5 stars. Very little laugh out loud moments like in Kodiak Point and a background story that will carry on through the series just like in Furry United Coalition. Evil mutant shifters due to the lab doing whatever it is we have yet to find out. I did love Princess the Chihuahua, she was fun. Caleb’s surprise at being a father was great, he passed out, that was a good laugh. It was a good story of boy disappearing on his girlfriend, going into the military and then needing to come home to sort himself out. I was sad when I read why Caleb left. How horrible to be tricked like that by the military but I would have thought he would have listened to his beast a bit more. Even with no father to guide him and find balance, he seemed eager to believe his croc was bad. WHY? I know he gave lip service to it later in the book stating he was a male and they never ask for help. I think there was not enough explanation. Renny never asked why he did not read her letters. We know he was under the Naga’s spell but she didn’t. At the beginning I really thought Renny was going to give Caleb a run for his money and make him work his way back into her heart, but Renny just seemed to forgive him because her body wanted him, hello, she is not a shifter so did not have that mating pull. Just a little too much of, well he is Luke’s father so that is okay. Caleb redeemed himself to me over the story and while I empathise with Renny for being a single mother working two jobs she was not the heroine I wanted her to be. Sorry, just not as good as what I expect from Eve. I hope she improves the others in this series. I am looking forward to reading Melanie and Wes's story in book 4. I cannot wait to see Andrew get his just rewards and I hope Melanie gives them to him. 2 - PANTHERS CLAIM A good second book in this series. In this book we get more action and information on what is going on. Very worrying stuff. We also meet Cynthia, a hybrid wolf bear shifter who kidnaps Daryl as she thinks Daryl has something to do with her missing friend. The interaction between these two is hilarious A fun read with lots of silliness thrown in to keep your mind of the bad things happening in Bitten Point. I loved the text messaging between Cynthia and her mother. Had me in stitches. 3 - PYTHONS EMBRACE 3.5 stars. Book 3 in this series just brings up more questions to be answered. Who is the top dog (pardon the pun) behind the creation of these poor monsters? Yes, some are just rotten but most started out as people who have now lost everything. Aria and Constantine were great together and this story did its usual Eve Langlais thing of making me laugh out loud. Love the interaction between Aria and Princess. This series is a lovely funny light hearted read but I am never going near the swamp. Book 4 is going to have a fair bit of question answering to do. What is Wes playing at? 4 - GATORS CHALLENGE 3.5 stars. Finally, Melanie and Wes get their story. Best of the series, just, as I did love Pythons Embrace. It all came together so well and I had the read I have wanted since book 1. Melanie is just the best and I loved her character. Wes redeemed himself and I totally understand why he did what he did. The twins were fantastic, what a handful. Loved that the Kodiak crew came to help. I thought this was the last book in this series, but I love the way this ended and cannot wait for the next book to let us know what happens next. Still feel like it is shades of FUC but I am enjoying it for its characters.
