I have just finished listening to Episode 2 and I cannot recommend this podcast enough. At times it feels like listening to your friends tell stories of their families, at others it’s like a history lesson. Then there are the stories from the Aunties, a true privilege that transports you to another time and place. The way the podcast weaves the highs and lows of history is to be commended, this is modern storytelling and there needs to be more of it.

Jacobson’s vulnerability and honesty was refreshing. The humour and sadness entwined together beautifully telling an immensely personal story that someone managed to reach deep inside my chest and hurt as if the heartbreak had been my own.

The novel of my generation.

Every woman, whether she is single or couple, a mother or childless, should read - or listen to - this book. The intwined storyline draws you into the world of Camilla, Tara and Stella. The storyline is happy and sad, funny and heartbreaking all at the same time. I laughed out loud, cringed uncomfortably and cried hysterically.

To me, this book is the novel of my generation - the way it tells the story of females in a modern world is worthy of all the praise I can conjure.

I loved it.
