Conversations raises some deep questions about the world of relationships and the consequences of people stepping outside the bounds of so called normal behaviour. It does so in an enthralling manner that keeps ones interest right through the relatively simple storyline. A lesson in philosophy and human frailty!

I enjoyed this book immensely. The plot is complicated enthralling and ever changing. The characters - particularly the lead journalist Martin Scarsden- are really well drawn and believable. They are empathetic and the listener wants to know the conclusion of the characters’ interaction as much as the murder’s solution.

This is a fabulous and dark tale of family relationships gone wrong in a remote outback location. The characters are convincingly drawn and the narrator does a brilliant job of bringing them to life. While the central character has many flaws, he is the only member of the family to show integrity and offer real love to the women around him.
