I am no book critic, but I found this book excellent and the reading performance very well done. Highly recommend this book to anyone interested in true crime.

I have always had an interest in history and even though I have grown up in Australia I can see how many of the things I have been taught at school have been tainted by omission and bias. This series was fascinating and makes me want to know more.

I listened to this book because I am a fan of Marc's podcast, Download This Show. I was enjoying the book at first purely for it's laughs, which were inevitable as Marc is always a funny bloke, but I was very pleasantly suprised to discover the underlying emotional side to the book. A personal, coming to terms exploration into Marc's own past and a problem with food adiction that he has strugled with his whole life. As a fellow 'fat kid' as he terms it, I found this very interesting, familiar and insightful. Plus, when he has to pull over his car on the drive home after eating one of the worlds hottest chillies, it is just down right funny as... So, for a free book on Audible, I gave it full stars all around and will recommend it highly.

I thouroughly enjoyed this novel, the story and action was evey bit as entertaining as Angels and Demons, but unfortunately the choice of reader did not work well for me. Sounding more like a narator from a documentary for much of the book, I found it dificult going for the first half to stick with it. I either grew accustomed to it, or he improved towards the end, but as still able to get past it and enjoy the intruiging story. Worth enduring to hear the story, but it would be great if Audible would get another reader to do a better job on this enjoyable novel.

As good as the movie and with extra sections that really add a lot to the story. Shame the movie did not end the same way as the book, but this makes the book well worth listenning too, because I am not going to say here what the ending is.

I had no idea what to expect from this book, but very quickly I was grpped by it's imaginative and unusual story. A time travel novel, but also not, it is well thought out and intruiging. It has so many moral threads, like what does someone who does not die have to motive them, and also environmental thoughts about what we do in our lives and how it affects the planet. By the end I was totally captured by it's caracters and suspence. A great book and I highly recommend it...

This is one of my favourite audio books to date. It is not often that I complete a book and imediately go back to start listening to it straight away, but this one I am doing just that.
Funny, yet also sad, the story introduces you to a lot about Tony that I did not expect. His mariages, personal triumphs and failures, and probably most suprisingly his self doubt. He always looks so in control in his documantaries.
The fact that Tony reads the book himself makes it all the more enjoyable and personal.
I cannot recommend this enough to anyone who has any interest in the career of one England's great entertainers.

I would not have guessed in a million years this was the way Phasma came about and rose in the First Order. A very imaginative tail and well performed. I just hope that it ties into the movies in some way because it implies that she has a past that may catch up with her some day.

Highly recommend this to any Star Wars fans who want more than just the films to enjoy...

I really enjoyed listening to this, Carrie Fisher's, latest offering.

I was expecting a book all about the behind the scenes thoughts and recollections of Carrie during her filming of the original Star Wars movie, but it turned out not to be so. It is predominantly a reflextion on her dealing with being a Star Wars celebrity, which she recounts in a way that only Carrie can. I laughed out loud many times and thoroughly enjoyed myself.

Realy the only thing her "Diary" talks about is a relationship, which I was suprised to discover, which occured between herself and Harrison Ford, during the filming in London.

Anyway, don't expect a Star Wars behind the scenes revelations and you will not be dissapointed. I think the title was a tad missleading, but this probably is because I did not buy the book after reading any reviews or other information, I just grabbed it straight away. Just understand it is more an insite into how Star Wars has made Carrie Fisher into the much loved celebrity that she is today and you will thoroughly enjoy this audio book.

Such a great story and creates a great build up to the begining of Rogue One. The movie is excellent on it';s own, but the story behind the relationship of many of the characters in the movie are well established in this novel.

Any Star Wars fan will love this book, excellently read and entertaining to the end...
