Living in exile since birth, Violet Sinclaire should never have been born. She is a half-blood descendent of royalty, and her existence was forbidden by the ancient immortals long ago. Now, the royals want her dead. As the one true queen of the shadow world, Violet has sworn to take back her throne and avenge her mother’s murder at any cost. First, she must choose her warriors, for they are her shields in battle; the armor that will keep her safe from the royal assassins. Determined that a half-breed will never own the throne, the royals have called for her blood.

Let me start with... I love this book. Scarlett Snow is a fantastic author and I'm so glad I've read her books on Kindle first. She captivates the audience with a strong story line, fast paced romance and interesting characters. Unfortunately, I feel like the narrator did not do this book justice. Ashely Taylor has a pleasant voice but her narration style was very robotic. I found it lacked expression, sentences were disjointed and she missed the mark on some of the characters voices. Some of the accents were good but I think this book needed a male and female narrator. It's not the worst I've listened to, but it wasn't the most enjoyable either. I won't return it as I still loved the actual book.

Good policy - until the night I accidentally resurrect a dead girl, rekindling my magic and drawing the Bay's most dangerous men to my doorstep. I'm Gray Desario. Witch. Survivor. Unfortunately I couldn't finish this series, at least not on audio book. I completed the first book but it was a struggle. The second book was too much for me. The story line is not bad, but the narrators made it hard for me to get into it too much. Don't get me wrong, they're not awful, but I don't think they were right for this particular style of book. I'm tempted to try this book on Kindle as I think it's got potential and I've heard so many good things about it. The book itself is fast burn and a bit insta love, which sometimes can work. I did find the mind reading between the FMC and her men to be a bit repetitive on the 'anger about her past' theme. Hopefully the Kindle version will be more enjoyable!

Total downer. I have a body now, and I don't intend to lose it. I also don't intend to lose the genfins that I've grown so attached to. So it's time to return to the kingdom island and hope like hell that my guys make it through the royal trials of the culling. I also have to hope that the prince of the realm doesn't spot me. If he does, I'm pretty sure I have imprisonment and torture to look forward to.

There's a lot of hype about this book on various Facebook groups. I find it hard to start a book because of this, as it runs the risk of not living up to expectations. Fortunately book one and two live up to expectations. They are funny and sexy but don't have much X rated content. There's some good plot twists and I have a feeling book three is not going to be predictable either. Melissa has a pleasant voice for narrating but Aaron's bonus scene on the end is seriously Hot!!!!

Book three in this series really brings it together. It focuses on Layla and Harris' relationship, which is so much better than Kiri and Roths. I found Layla a much more exciting and interesting character. She's strong, takes no sh!t, and is sassy. I find Kiri to be a bit of a pushover and naive. It's probably not a series I will reread for the third time.

Roth and I are on an open-ended tour of the world. Roth being Roth, this means missionary in Morocco, reverse cowgirl in Calcutta, bent over the bow of a houseboat in Hanoi, slow and sleepy on St. John. Anywhere and everywhere, in every conceivable position and some I didn't know were possible. Life is pretty incredible. Until I wake up in his chateau in France alone. On the bed next to me is a note. There are only four words: "He belongs to me."

This is the second time I've read the series. For some reason, the second time round, I struggled. The first in the series was good but this book was a bit arduous. The story goes around in circles of proclaiming love to each other and sex. Normally I'd think you can never have enough of the X rated scenes but this book does. There's more of Tyler Donne narrating than in first book and I found his tone a bit monotonous. It's not horrible, but there's other male voices out there that I prefer. The drama that happens in this book is good but once again, everything is overshadowed by how much the main characters love each other. It's a bit sickly sweet. In saying all this, I still think Jasinda Wilder is an amazing author, this book was just not quite on the mark for me.

The final of the trilogy. In this book you'll finally find out the truth between Isabel and Caleb. There is a HEA but with an interesting twist. Tyler Donne doesn’t speak until the last 40mins or so but both narrators do an excellent job. I really enjoyed this series. The only criticism I have is the over use of the word 'thus'. It got on my nerves a bit.

Jasinda Wilder as an author is always a win. Madame X is a complex book that keeps you wondering what will happen next. It's about a woman that has amnesia and is trying to find her identity through two men. There is plenty of X rated scenes and Summer Roberts does a wonderful job narrating both sexes. Fair warning that is does contain dubcon and a cliff hanger!

Dirty Ugly Toy is a novel that blurs the lines of right and wrong, deals with abuse, contains dubious consent, and adult subject matter. If you are sensitive to violent sexual situations, the book may not be suitable for you. Some parts of this book are not easy to hear and are not intended for everyone. However, those that keep an open mind and stick with it will not be disappointed.

Holy Dooley. It's a wild ride but there is a HEA at the end. I really enjoyed this book. It has a similar story line to FSOG but it's so much deeper and darker. Steven Barnett does a fabulous job on narrating both sexes. The xxx scenes are hot, although some can be a bit disturbing. Take heed of the warning at the start but I think it's a bloody good read!
