Expected fluff but ended up enjoying a witty and politically charged poke at the media and Australia's shitty version of racism.

What could be more fascinating than learning about what makes us tick. An interesting study.

Rough, raw and poetic as always.

You couldn't get a better glimpse of a battling Australian kid, surviving as best he could through the process of being dragged up if you tried.

Unexpectedly it struck a cord with my younger self and reminded me of all that strength and endurance needed in the process of growing up.

Such a lovely story, well told.

I have worried before that my love for this book as a younger woman might have hidden some flaw in this series, that as an older, wiser woman I would look back and see something lacking. But that hasn't happened. This story echos the troubles of modern society at its roots. It speaks of humanity and outlines a common struggle to overcome long held beliefs. It also makes me want to relearn herbal lore again and be closer to nature. I think I'll go riding today too.
