A really great read - Scott was really open with the ups and downs on his FI journey. Very inspiring.

I saw the cover and thought - yes this looks good. I ended up listening to it at 1.4x speed just to get through it. I really dont like leaving negative reviews but there was just nothing about it i liked. From the narration (dont be frugal just hire a professional as it was so difficult to listen to). i honestly learnt nothing new. Its hard to feel a connection to someone who comes from money but is "forced" to be frugal, felt kind of hollow. And the number of times the author refers to having a commonwealth job in Canberra..... if only everyone was so lucky, for anyone not living in the Canberra public service bubble it made it difficult to relate. Such a shame as i REALLY wanted to like this book.

Better than a few personal finance books I’ve read lately. I liked a few of his concepts that I think I will actually utilize. He was very easy to listen to as well.

Everything you need to know is in the first chapter and even then it could be summed up in a paragraph. Not sure what all the hype was about.

A lot of the book was lost on me as I’m not in the US. I ended up skipping quite a few chapters because of that.

I like reading about personal finances - while this isn’t an instructional book its definitely fascinating to listen to their journey and what bits and pieces I can apply in my own life.

Majority of the "ways" discussed refer to websites where you need to be based in the USA. Hearing the narrator gulping and turning the page was also annoying.

I hadnt watched too many episodes of the office or the mindy project but i thought i'd give it a go - i'm glad i did! It was so easy to listen to and Mindy is funny and relate-able. For anyone who wasnt popular at school and enjoyed studying and hanging out with family and didnt always fit into the mainstream - you will enjoy this book. Even if you did, Mindy is so engaging that you will find her stories hilarious.
