An indescribable story. The narrative was so enjoyable that it’s powerful undertones crept up on me like a kick in the guts. I found myself feeling mortified, defiant, elated then horrified all within the space of a few pages. It’s not hard to see why this story is so highly recommended.

A laugh out loud commentary on society that you instantly want to share with your friends. A perfect mix of fiction and intelligent apocalyptic banter that delivered everything I had hoped for in a Pratchett/Gaiman love child. My only disappointment is not discovering it earlier!

A harrowingly beautiful tale of kindred spirits who love against all odds. A life changing story that draws you into Lale’s world of unimaginable fear, gut wrenching starvation and unconditional love for those whose names are simply numbers. Find yourself feeling grieved yet hopeful, all whilst asking yourself- would I have survived ?
