Well crafted characters, but not ideal as an audiobook

This book delivers lots of tension and a well-developed, simple plot line, but I think it would have worked better on the page than as an audiobook. Sometimes there were switches in tense or perspective that were confusing and I had to rewind and listen again to see if I’d missed something - I hadn’t. Still, overall a good story.

Can't give it enough stars

This book should be a manual for all relationships. Very skilfully written. It's written as a story, but he steps out of the story from time to time to reflect and share his insights into the situations we keep getting ourselves into as humans. VERY relatable.

I wasn't particularly a fan of Stephen King's work, but I was interested in some insights into his writing process - he more than delivered. I've learned so much that I've been able to implement in my own writing. Very impressed with his delivery - he narrates his life story as a device for teaching the lessons he's learned. If you're interested in improving your writing, definitely listen to this audio book in his own voice.
