This is an exceptional series that draws you in with plenty of action and gives you many POVs so that you get sucked into the story. The fight of a father, husband and friend to protect his family, the lengths he would go to and the stress it takes on his body, mind and the journey he is forced to undertake. John David Farrell is an excellent narrator, he keeps you engaged.

This novel really should have been two, one to explore Bond's return and then the Man with the Golden Gun. In saying that this is still an excellent book. Hard to stop listening to until the end. Excellent characters.

A gripping story that ends in tragedy for Bond, it brings out more of his character development and David Tennant does an excellent job in making characters come to life.

This is one of my favourite books and rounds of the trilogy nicely. It really brings new dimensions to Bond.

This is not the typical Bond story, it is good but takes a long time to get moving, I enjoyed it being from a young woman's point of view but the initial phase of the book was tedious. The Villians were a nice change of pace and the fact that Bond underestimates them was an excellent twist. I still recommend it, but just be prepared it takes a bit of time to really take shape.

I enjoyed the first two books, but I found this one to be a bit of a struggle. I found it repetitive at times but overall it's enjoyable.

This is one of the most interesting storylines that has excellent main character development up to a point, has a unique and creative arc, however it leaves you with no real sense of closure, no understanding of the overall villians or the hidden heroes. I am sure this was a deliberate effort to keep the whole series murky on who was pulling the strings and good vs evil but that inability to see, assess and judge the heart of good and evil is overall a huge let down.

Story 1 - This is a reasonable story, some characters are two dimensional and you will struggle to have any empathy for them, it takes a while to get really exciting but worth a listen. Score 3/5 Story 2 - This is a terrible load of dribble, character development is non existent and you never feel invested in the story. The main character is dull and boring. 1/5 Story 3 - This is a more enthralling series, it develops the main characters well and the villians are far better developed, so you feel invested in the story. This is well worth a read. 4/5 Overall the first two are lack luster, with underdeveloped characters, the third story is the saving grace.

This is another exciting story of Commander James Bond and an iconic villian brought to life with exceptional detail. You will enjoy this book from start to finish, my only complaint is Hugh Bonneville as the narrator, it flowed in parts and not in others. However it is still 4 stars.
