This is another exciting story of Commander James Bond and an iconic villian brought to life with exceptional detail.

You will enjoy this book from start to finish, my only complaint is Hugh Bonneville as the narrator, it flowed in parts and not in others. However it is still 4 stars.

I am pleased with the previous books but this one takes a step up, you get the sense that not only is Bond becoming more rounded but so is Flemings writing style.

The story is gripping and you are drawn into the narrative.

I have been enjoying the books but this one has shot to the top of list. It just feels so realistic and it conjures up the period, the tension between various agencies within the spy network.

The story is thrilling and moves along at a excellent pace, my only issue is with the narrator who slips up with names on occasion.

This is a great read or audiobook for anyone who enjoys fantasy.

Interesting take on the Vampire genre, well constructed story with excellent pacing. Leaves the door open for future books.

The narrator though good for the most struggles in my view with the variations and falls back onto stereotypical voicing, this was distracting from the strength of the second female hero of the story.

Definitely a young teens book this could be enjoyed by anyone who like the Vampire genre as a lead in to something more substantial.

Unlike the proceeding books this one is a bit of a miss. I thought it would continue with the excellent pacing set from the start but instead it is lackluster with only glimpses of pickup speed.

The ending was anticlimactic and disappointing.

I enjoyed the biographical depiction of a complex man. The exploration of both the good and bad bring out his humanity.

I was disappointed with the narrator and recording as it seems to jump as if he took several takes and it was cobbled together.

This book hits the right rhythm and pace, giving you the ride of your life and a climax that is expected but is still riveting.

The only problem is that once you have finished you crave more as you want to know what happens to our hero and his companions for this should be the start of further adventures.
