I liked the story - and the narration was excellent
The language used in the story was dated as expected being 40+ years old and I did find some of the terminology a bit hard to hear as they are not used now as freely - but overall a classic

The story was good - a lot of detail in the plot itself
I did find it took up to 5 hours in to get into the 'cant wait to hear what happens next' phase
Some of the phases used as part of the characters conversations I found a bit lame
The narrator was good - but there were a few parts where there was a general narration - he used the character voices - which I am not sure if it was intended or by error , however i found it a bit confusing

This book was well written and well narrated - an excellent story line and conclusion to its predecessor. Ann Dowd's narration was exceptional - seeing as she read for the role that she plays in the series - it really brought the character to life.

A Great Conclusion Albeit a Bit short

A great conclusion to the previous book - my only comments is that it was a bit short and could have been expanded on a bit more - just felt like it needed to conclude and here is a book to do it

I am loving these time displacement stories lately and this one does not disappoint - it is well written that captures the era an draws you in - it has the historical references along with the baddie and the cliff hanger at the end.
The narrator had an odd inflection to her voice which was a bit off putting at first but seemed to stop mid way - unless i just got used to it
Overall very happy with this and look forward to the next installment

The story draws you into the era with the same characters you have grown to know in the previous releases
An easy and enjoyable listen and I really hope they continue to be released

I am reading all these books in order so this one is pretty much on par with them all - the descriptive writing draws you into the story and keeps you captivated until the end

I have been listening to these in the recommended order - and it is a great format to listen to the same story in another persons perspective
A common theme throughout this period of time is misogamy and blind religious faith - which still exists but not as concentrated - thankfully

This is an excellent story - I have ready others around the lead character Margaret Beaufort - but this one really highlights what an self righteous, social climber she was - parts of the story almost made me laugh at her narcissistic responses to things and her being a self proclaimed Martyr.
What an awful human she was.
