I loved this book and could not stop listening... once I got past the narrators voice. I found the pace and tone some what insipid and irritating. However, once Kya, the main character, nature’s the narrator appears to find her voice. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys classic literary fiction.

I really enjoyed this book, the characters were very well portrayed and some of the miscommunications due to the main characters Aspergers were hysterically funny.

A really good read, quite an emotional roller coaster, the main characters functioning alcoholism is really well depicted, I found myself swinging through sympathy, to intense loathing of her and everything in-between! With out wanting to give anything away I found the ending a little too tidy, but not so much so as to spoil what is a very enjoyable read/listen - excellent narration.

I enjoyed this light read, a little bit grittier than the usual 'chic lit' genre that I normally associate Marian Keys with. I enjoyed the character development, and think she tackled the main characters 'mental health' issues convincingly. I'm not so sure about the sex scenes though, I found them unconvincing and probably unnecessary - as if they were added as an after thought to 'sex it up'. I thought the narrator was very good and pitched the characters voices with their demeanours really well, over all an enjoyable read/listen.

This book is quite dark, but not overly violent, it is fast paced and I imagine it will make an excellent film, it put me in mind of 'Mr In-between". I found the characters mostly believable and over all I enjoyed the story, however I found the dialogue between the father and five year old daughter unconvincing - too old and mature - more like a 9-12 year old, I also found the narrators voice was mismatched for the main suspect, too soft and small compared to the description.
