I am devastated the series is over. Each Joe O'Loughlin book has been a masterclass in suspense and human emotion. A true roller coaster ride and one I am delighted to have read. Please Michael, let us have more of Joe

I feel like I know Joe, through the series so far, and each time I reach the end of one of these stories I am thrilled, delighted, saddened, and angry at the author because I am camping at the bit to get the next in the series. I think this is the hallmark of a great writer. As an author of psychological thrillers myself, I am in awe of how good Michael Robotham is at making me care as much as I do for his characters. Sean Barrett is brilliant, as always and the perfect narrator for the depth Mr Robotham brings to the story. Please keep these books coming

This is a thrilling, deeply disturbing story that is a great read, but left me very sad. Michael has captured a real life situation of suspected infidelity and the breakdown between Joe and his wife while a vital investigation is going on that made me very saddened. I don't recall ever being moved so much by a story - a testament to great writing, yet I almost wish it wasn't so good - or had a happier ending, and it shocks me that I would think that, if that makes sense. I write psychological thrillers myself and have the utmost respect for Mr Robotham's work. Mine, also feature a criminal psychologist who assists the police. I wish I could write as well a Michael Robotham, and I mean that with the greatest respect. I'm not sure Michael will ever read this, but if you do, thank you for entertaining me, I held on to very single word.

I love Scandinavian thrillers an in particular Wallander stories but this one left me little disbelieving two or three times plot wise. You can never fault Henning for lacking in detail
