I really enjoyed this second Bobiverse book. The story was still fun and engaging but there were about six or so sections of audio that were a bit off. The recording would suddenly change (maybe where a new section had been cut in) and it would be different enough to be completely jarring. It made it really difficult to absorb that section of content. Other than that technical glitch, a great audio book.

Fantastic read/ listening.

I loved this book. I loved the pace and the way the thread unraveling kept me hooked. I normally only listen to audiobooks in the car but I listened to this one on the couch with the tv off! The characters were fantastic and so recognisable and easy to empathise with. I really cared about and related to them. I love a book with great characters like that. Thanks for a great story.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book! I loved the variety of the narrators but, more than anything, I couldn’t get enough of the story -each chapter was so novel and explored the zombie apocalypse from a new and exciting perspective. It was so realistic and really made me think -not so much about the likelihood of the zombie takeover but even if what large scale war on domestic soil would be like for people like myself and my family. Super entertaining, great pace, I’ve already been recommending this one!

As I hoped, this was a refreshing book full of practical perspective and thoroughly human in its empathy and relatability. Loved it -and love Brené’s down to earth approach.

I bought this based on my love of previous Feist books but I was genuinely disappointed. The characters and story just didn’t have the same punch and so many themes were repeated throughout the story that I found myself frustrated at hearing the same thing over and over again. Also, too many elements were just too predictable to be enjoyed. The set ups were clumsy and yet they were then explained as though it wasn’t annoyingly obvious already. I especially disliked the narration.

This is an incredible story, very emotional and moving. Not a book I'd recommend to everyone as it's not a page turner as such but it is the sort you wish more people read and appreciated.
