The story lacks much of the thrill of Wilbur Smith adventures, much because of the monotonous narrative style and lack of other character interactions.

Honestly I could not get enough of this tale of human triumph in adversity. Hard and uplifting characters with excellent narration. This book will make you question human charity, capatalism and big corporations. Truly a must read.

This is not one of Kings best efforts, the circumstances are petty but believable and filled with lessons of morality; what came happen when a chain of events collide through the characterd sins.

A richly woven tapestry of adventures in India. The story telling is gripping and moreish. Highly recommend prequel to Blue Horizon and certainly one of Smith's best works!

Darker and more depraved than earlier works by King. Some things are hard to unread.

I have read this book a couple of times but I never appreciated it so much as this incredible audio book presentation! The voice skill of Steven Weber is deserving of an award for his unique representation of the story's many characters.
