I absolutely loved the first book. it was my book of the year, and I was so incredibly excited for the sequel.

it's here, and I can't stand it. I have no idea why they replaced John Lee, but there are so many other English narrators with similar voices to his that could have attempted a similar style. Saul reichlin does a terrible job, with strange pauses in the wrong spots in sentences and no gaps when there should be gaps.

don't buy the audio book, even if you're a fan of the first book.

Absolutely stunning.

Awesome in every way. Phenomenal ending to a brilliant trilogy. Near perfect narration as well.

I love reynolds but this narration is awful. I bought the ebook instead and the story is excellent, but please listen to the sample first to see if you can put up with the narrator.

A very disappointing book.

Amazingly stupid and one dimensional characters, especially for those who are supposed to be geniuses. All actions taken by characters are there to fit the lacklustre plot rather than making sense for that characters motive or personality.

The first book was more forgivable, with a sense of unknown powers and revelation of the world.

The narrator has forgotten the voices he used for characters in book 1 and used different voices for them, which seems exceptionally lazy.

I made it half way though and it's going to be the first book I haven't finished in 5 years.

incredible performances by all the narrator's, every main character has their own narrator which is a great touch and really helps you connect with their stories.

the plot is complex, prosiac and philosophical. the characters are multi faceted deeply interesting.

one of the best books I've ever read, and definitely the best performed audiobook.
