There nothing I didn't like about this book. it has a well-written story line with unfolding events. developing characters and plenty of twists and turns. Most of all, I love the narration by Dorje Swallow . There's plenty of books I haven't purchased because of a narrator's voice and delivery but I would listen to anything narrated by Dorje. He brings the characters to life and does an amazing job depicting different personalities. Well done.

A fantastic book! Jane is a true artist at developing her characters and creating a mental imagery of the land in which the story is set. I love her descriptive style. Stephen actually makes her characters real: he is a brillant narrator and a pleasure to listen to. I can't imagine anyone else narrating Jane's stories. I'm eagerly awaiting her next novel - and Stephen's rendition of it.

Nicolette McKenzie brings the characters of this amazing story to life, her narration of each character so realistic the reader feels the sadnes, joys and fears of each one. I was even starting to dread what I thought might be the outcome of this story, so cleverly does Jojo Moynes weave her tale. Loved it!

From previous reviews I was excpecting to struggle with the narration but I enjoyed Roy Dotrice's story-telling his voice and style add to the old world theme of the story. The story itself is gripping - even though I have seen the series and anticipate what's coming, it's good to have insight into the minds of the characters. I highly recommend it.

I struggled to get into this story but it wasn't long before Jojo worked her usual magic. This story touches on all the different aspects of relationships; the struggles, the mismatches and the journey taken in finding one self. Narrated beautifully, bringing each character to life.

The story alone is a wonderful mix of drama and romance, with characters that develop and grow as the story unfolds. The dialogue is rich and descriptive and down-to-earth, so the reader feels almost a part of the world Diana Gabaldon has created. I can't praise the narration by Davina Porter highly enough! She brings each individual character to life, taking on their personas, characteristics and emotions. She's not just narrating: she's performing, fleshing the characters out, enhancing their personalities and adding a whole new dimension to the story.

Beautifully narrated. John C brought this incredibly poignant story to life; a performance rather than a narration. I highly recommend this book.
