Dish up the red meat, eggs, and whole milk! In this well-researched and captivating narrative, veteran food writer Nina Teicholz proves how everything we've been told about fat is wrong. For decades, Americans have cut back on red meat and dairy products full of "bad" saturated fats. We obediently complied with nutritional guidelines to eat "heart healthy" fats found in olive oil, fish, and nuts, and followed a Mediterranean diet heavy on fruits, vegetables, and grains. Yet the nation's health has declined. What is going on?

I rarely write reviews but this book is a must read! I thoroughly enjoyed the depth of analysis, level of critique and support of questions that I, myself have been pondering for some time.

I love the logical progression of the book and the continual build up of detailed information. it really helps to offer direction and stimulates your own critical thinking and reflection of everything you thought you knew about nutrition.

I purchased this book after hearing about it in a review of The Obesity Code by Dr Fung, which I also highly recommemd. These 2 books are a breath of fresh air in a highly biased and somewhat narrow minded topic.

Overall the performance is fantastic and so is the writing. It is a book that will encourage you to question everything you thought you knew about a healty diet and open your eyes to the engrained bias decades of questionable research has instilled in you.
