A definitely tragic story but told so over earnestly and written with a little too much repitition. I would have liked more on the bird and it's role in helping with the rehabilitation which was hinted at in the publicity. In essence a depressing rendition.

A great look at the killer, though unknown, his methods and how the various police depts profiled him. The strengths and weaknesses of the times are exposed. Plus the biography of a gifted ameteur sketch through hard work, insight and personality was accepted by the police investigating teams.

An excellent story with a good dose of Irish angst. Characters are still we'll filled out and familiar in an enjoyable way. The reader really does a wonderful job with the various characters, setting the stage and mood very professionally.

At first I didn't think I'd like it, the pace was slow and it felt like another story of someone at there worst whom you knew would conquer all in the end. However there was much more to it. It was well written, narrated and paced. I really enjoyed the languid Aussie style and the regional backdrop which I was familiar with.

Very good narration. A story of teenage awkwardness and growing into young adulthood but not a teenage book. Quite insightful as I remember teens and early adulthood at university quite fraught with so much going on. Just the right length to not over draw the story.

Very good story and easy listening. The narrator was excellent, best Aussie accent yet. As a first book in a series its a promising start.
