The Fates Divide is a richly imagined tale of hope and resilience told in four stunning perspectives. The lives of Cyra Noavek and Akos Kereseth are ruled by their fates, spoken by the oracles at their births. The fates, once determined, are inescapable. Akos is in love with Cyra, in spite of his fate: he will die in service to Cyra’s family.

This story was unlike any I have read before but I enjoyed it. I loved Joe Harts The Final Trade series (highly recommend) so I thought I'd try something else of his.

The story is unique and one thing didnt make sense to me (maybe I missed that part when I was listening) but overall it was good. I wasnt a fan of the accents though.

Tenley "Ten" Lockwood is an average 17-year-old girl...who has spent the past 13 months locked inside the Prynne Asylum. The reason? Not her obsession with numbers but her refusal to let her parents choose where she'll live - after she dies. There is an eternal truth most of the world has come to accept: Firstlife is merely a dress rehearsal, and real life begins after death.

The idea of this story is strange but could be great. What puts me off the most is that she falls for a guy who is clearly a d***head and shes warned about how he messes up other peoples lives and yet she is so onto him!! Its SO annoying and in my life, SO unrealistic. A persons personality and morals are way more important than looks.
The narrator is okay but I felt a few times ahe mixed up the accents or if two different voices/characters were having a conversation she wasnt able to define each characters usual accents.

Sir John Penlyon is planning to spend Christmas at his estate with his niece and his friend Danby, the closest thing he has to family since disowning his daughter years ago. (She eloped with the parson, who was, of course, penniless.) Danby suggests that at Christmastime the estate needs the presence of small children, and offers to find some - the “hirelings” - despite Sir John’s skepticism. Three children duly arrive, and the youngest, precocious four year-old Moppet, quickly endears herself to Sir John.

I love all of the characters and there's never a dull moment so far in this series. There is a good amount of suspense and also light hearted moments. The characters solutions to problems are smart and intricate which makes me appreciate the effort the author has put into the storyline. The love... triangle is clever and not unbelievable, I cant wait to find out what happens with that!
