I'm not sure how to write this review. Perhaps it's a good story? I don't know though because I STRUGGLED so hard to get into this book, to understand what was going on, to learn who was who but I just couldn't. I finished the whole book in hopes I'd get into it enough to want to get the 2nd book but it just finished and I have almost no idea what happened and why it happened. I dont want to say it's a bad book because perhaps it's a really good book and I missed all the good bits but I have never struggled so much before. The narrator was okay but she got voices for characters wrong sometimes and I found her voice to be a bit boring so my mind to drifted off constantly - I couldn't keep concentration with her voice. Every time I drifted off I would rewind and listen to the part again but even that didn't help. The production team of this audiobook also didnt singnal when thevstory would skip to someone elses perspective or old memory so I got confused with that alot.
Anyway, read it if you want and hopefully you have a better experience than I did! I think it could be a good new world to learn about but it wasn't for me.

Looooved it!

I really enjoyed this one. I've finished it so quickly so now I'm sad. I really loved this unique love story. Be warned it is quite dark in some parts and has rape scenes... But overall I loved this story!

I dont like to write negative rewiews but I wish someone had so it would have deterred me from reading this book. I read a review saying that you don't have to like or know cricket to enjoy this book - I disagree. There was so much cricket dribble drabble that it nearly bored me to tears, but I persisted. The book was solely based around people IN sports and I have zero interest in celebrity sports people that this almost bored me to tears as well. And the ending... don't even get me started.
However, I love the way the author writes. Their way of describing was great and I did enjoy that. I liked how it made me cringe when he spoke about the shot knee...
I persisted because the reviews had been so positive but this book was not for me at all!

Cant wait for the 3rd book!

A really enjoyable addition to the first book. It kept me engaged. I love how it's all quite believable and not too over the top. The characters are great too

I would never have thought to pick a book like this but I enjoyed it SO much! More people should learn to listen to their bodies and feed it the nutrients it needs to thrive. If you're gut is out of whack it can cause so many other issues.
This book isnt dry and complicated. Gulia has written it in a fun and entertaining way. You dont have to be a scientist to understand what shes talking about.

I enjoyed the first book more but this one was still good. I think I liked the not knowing in the first book but by the second book you had all of the main answers so it didnt keep me as captivated. I would recommend this short series!

A great podcast about a topic that affects us all is some way whether you're a person with periods or living with someone who has periods or just knows someone who has periods! I hope that girls and women can feel more confortable about this natural occurance and that they dont feel ashamed by it even when others try to make them feel ashamed.

I struggled with this one a bit because the main character Jean was a bit annoying to listen to but she needs to be the way she is in order for the story to work... She's so submissive and chooses to be naive that it's frustrating!! The last 3rd of the book was better than the beginning. It's a good book and story but it was just a bit annoying at the same time. The interview at the end with the author and narrator was a lovely surprise!
