touches so superficially on interesting topics that I kept hoping it would get better but throughout the main characters are so flat.

I was hooked on this book from the very beginning. the descriptions throughout have enough detail to paint a vivid picture but at other times the language in the story is kept simple so that the pace is always perfectly balanced

I enjoyed this story and related to many of the frustrations of Don. the first person narration gives an insightful view of love from someone on the autism spectrum. it highlights so many of the things that we subconsciously process but what some people consciously agonize over. acceptance, individuality, preference and love.

in many ways this storyline is not unique but this telling does not shy away from the ugly side of things. it is a beautifully crafted mix of stories that centers around the demise of the others.

this was a very enjoyable story it wasn't predictable and looks like a great prelude to more stories about the same character
