I loved Crimson Lake and I was transfixed by this. Amazingly addictive. Hard hitting but with strong characters and laugh out loud humour to relieve the grimness. Highly recommended.

Loved everything about this book. Great story, loved the characters, at first I wasn't to sure about the performance but then he really got into his stride. Couldn't wait to get back to it every time I had to take a break. Highly recommend.

Such straightforward, ordinary people nearly broken by the evil, lazy, perverse behaviour of one of their own. God knows how they survived this. A sad and intense book.

The book was just what I would expect from King but the performance was exceptional. Sometimes it felt like I was sitting in room full of people conversing, so varied was his characterization . Outstanding.
