Have you listened to any of Simon Vance’s other performances? How does this one compare?

Any additional comments?
Really have to struggle passed the first 30 chapters. But it really is worth the effort. Hopefully the next few books will be just as good and won't need the large quantity of literary foundation.

What made the experience of listening to The Cycle of Arawn the most enjoyable?
I fell in love with the characters and their trials and adventures through listening to the Cycle of Garland first... It's characters are flawed and human involving far reaching concepts and topics whilst wrapping it up in epic tale of magic, warfare subterfuge etc etc.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Dante and Blaze the two main characters are great - but the supporting characters through out bring laughter and tears, as well as hatred toward the 'villains'. All very balanced character set and their interactions written nicely.
What about Tim Gerard Reynolds’s performance did you like?
Narrator was awesome - found this book by following his performance.
Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Laughter, anger and a hint of sadness in there some where. No spoilers - you'll find your own moments.
Any additional comments?
This is a great engaging book that takes a while to get through. Suspend reality for a moment and let yourself go. This will prepare you fort the Cycle Garland... don't repeat my mistake by listening to that first.
