This is a pretty great book. Incredibly interesting and very illuminating. It offered significant understanding of my own behaviour and that of others. One thing I would value would be more insight into practical ways that we can successfully influence the dopamine and HN circuits. This book was definitely worth the time.

The importance of this book cannot be understated. Popularising the research on effective learning processes is amongst the most important topics of our modern society. Authors like Ulrich are essential to this process and he does an excellent job at bringing this research to life through stories and real life examples. His narrative skills are very good. The book is very well researched, and he has spoken to many of the experts he quotes, bringing a fullness to the text. This is also the source of my one very minor complaint. Sometimes there are too many examples that are detailed too fully and at times I found myself skipping ahead. I feel a little bit silly complaining about the fact that he was explaining things too well. This is a minor point however. Overall the book is very good. It’s important, it’s well written and very definitely worth the investment of time.
