A rich, funny, dark and beautifully performed story. Terrific characters whose horrible lose lose situations are finally redeemed. Sort of.

I kept thinking I’d worked it out, but I was guessing to the end. Great performances.

This is the story of the people affected by crimes and how the impact such events have in their lives. It’s a romance as much as a crime story. How do the good souls who get drawn into the darker side of life stay sane? Read to find out.

I can’t recommend this summary. It might be accurate, but it’s so slim as to be pointless. It promised to describe the comprehensive solution, but failed to do so. Blinkist provides a similar, cheaper and more comprehensive service of this nature without the false promises.

Cardboard characters made less believable by the endless clichés. Some descriptions downright ridiculous-- a six-foot tall vicar as wide as he is tall??? A shiver rolling across the shoulders of Maria??? Such imagery defies belief. Over-hyped. In need of great editor.

Great stories. Great characters, including Mr Parkinson. Is it just me or do other readers want to shake Julianne? I’m tearing through the books.

I love Kellerman. He writes an exciting plot and Mili is a wonderful side kick to the main character. But his main man is hideously sexist. It was the 80s but be ready for some shockers. Otherwise a ripping start to a remarkable series.
