Story
I was so excited when Darcy announced out of the blue that we were flying to Kenya for our extended honeymoon. Now that we are here, I suspect he has actually been sent to fulfill another secret mission. I am trying very hard not to pick a fight about it, because after all, we are in paradise! Darcy finally confides that there have been robberies in London and Paris. It seems the thief was a member of the aristocracy and may have fled to Kenya. Since we are staying in the Happy Valley, we are well positioned to hunt for clues and ferret out possible suspects.

Having got to know Georgie and Darcy over some 10 stories, I have got fond of them. This story is more fun as a tale of their honeymoon than as a murder mystery. Either way, I could not stop listening and gobbled the story up like a box of chocolates.

Story
Unfolding in a graveyard over the course of a single night, narrated by a dazzling chorus of voices, Lincoln in the Bardo is a literary experience unlike any other, for no one but Saunders could conceive it. February 1862. The Civil War is less than one year old. The fighting has begun in earnest, and the nation has begun to realize it is in for a long, bloody struggle. Meanwhile, President Lincoln's beloved 11-year-old son, Willie, dies and is laid to rest in a Georgetown cemetery.

Story
A wealthy woman strangled six hours after she's arranged her own funeral. A very private detective uncovering secrets but hiding his own. A reluctant author drawn into a story he can’t control. What do they have in common? Unexpected death, an unsolved mystery and a trail of bloody clues lie at the heart of Anthony Horowitz's new thriller. Spread the word. The word is murder.

Wonderful satire

With a delicate touch and a strong current of self mockery, Tony Horowitz takes the mickey out of detective fiction. By portraying as a ‘true’ story, and soaking it through with contemporary references to popular culture, he slowly pulled me into a captivating story. Then he steadily descends into subtle farce. The portrayal of the funeral and various family homes visited particularly set the flavor of the book. The denouement acts like the red nose on a clown. It signifies what we are reading. I got through my listen in 2 days; a clear sign of engrossed enjoyment. I recommend the fun.
