Very enjoyable story to listen to. Mainly due to the wonderful voices of Taylor Owynns. She was amazing portraying the various people in the book and has a beautiful voice to listen to. I also enjoyed learning about the history of the Island.

This book was certainly worth writing about the lives of some wonderful women achieving amazing things in times that weren’t easy for females. I have recommended it to my daughter so the young ones are made aware of the achievements of these women. Full credit to Susanna de Vries for writing it so we can all learn from it.

I kept listening to this story until past half way then becoming bored with the unchanging theme of young people making their lives miserable, I started jumping forward chapters but nothing changed right to the very end! I don't think these two young people would be considered 'Normal'. At least I hope not anyway. The reader did a good job but I thought her voice interpretations of the two main characters was so good, the annoying 'she said/he said' could have been reduced considerably.

The story is not about a pleasant side of life but I thought very well written and extremely well read. Clare Corbett needs 6 stars I thought.

This is the first Jeffrey Archer Book I’ve read. It was well written and well read but a bit unrealistic and fairly predictable. Basically a story to show there’s a lot more important things in the world than money and people’s lives should be more balanced. Also the importance of forgiveness in life, especially with families, is critical. One review said it was not typical of Archer so I might try another one and see if I think that too.

A long saga about two very screwed up wives. Not realistic to me. I won’t be reading another Kate Hewitt I’m afraid.

Thoroughly enjoyed this book even though I usually like to read non-fiction. It was so realistic and no doubt historically correct, I felt it could have been someone’s real life. Beautifully read by Jenny Funnel who’s voice sounded just as I imagined Vivienne’s to be.

I only took any notice of Schapelle’s arrest when viewing it on TV. I was immediately convinced of her innocence and couldn’t understand why no-one believed her. I haven’t followed her story over the years the poor girl lived in that hell hole as I don’t waste time reading Magazines and Newspapers which are obviously full of inaccurate stories. I did see her release on TV and couldn’t believe she’d been in gaol for so long. I listened to the book as soon as I saw it available to try and understand her story. Now I can’t believe anyone would still think her guilty. It’s also an amazing insight into life in an Indonesian gaol and the ludicrous invasive behaviour of media which occurs worldwide.

I found this story very interesting portraying an amazing lady who dedicated her life to helping others so unselfishly. Also enjoyed the fact the story was accurate historically and I learnt many facts about World War II that I never knew.
