I loved the story foremat with the individual characters speaking 'live' and the way the story unfolded. when I downloaded it, I thought it was going to be an actual podcast so it was great to find out was a play about a podcast instead. The music was good too.

The author skillfully drip feeds you with little snippets of the characters and their story until finally, at the end, the whole picture becomes clear.

I had to give up; the narrator's interpretation did not match the story. She had a limited repertoire of accents which made or difficult to keep track of characters who sounded the same. Her portrayal of Kim Stone, the detective, was too rigid.

I liked that the main character is a woman. the argument for the existance of dragons is quite plausible, overall an unusual plot which plays homage to Jurassic Park.

Would you listen to The Potato Factory again? Why?

I would listen to the Potato Factory again, I found it compelling and enjoyed the glimpse into the Dickensian world.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Potato Factory?

I particularly enjoyed Mary's journey as it evolved through the book.

What does Humphrey Bower bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

Henry Bower proved a skilled narrator who brought the characters to life with his clever interpretation of the characters voices and inflections, particularly of Ike the central character.
